I tried pairing my phone but had no luck, the phone recognized the car but that was as far as I got; I used 1234. What is the correct code and procedure?
I've done this before withtwo other phones, anyway the dam phone works great as a handset that is............

AHHH......

Finally a problem solved quickly and easily. My iphone must have had a problem generating a bluetooth signal. After trial and error with a friend's E60 and iphone, I discovered the culprit was my iphone. It was replaced today, and all is well...

happy iphoning

I usually use 0000 and I have never had a problem. It could either be the phone or apple has a special code needed.

Codes are generated ad hoc (on user end) at time of pairing. There is no specific code.

Hi jochet

I am considering getting the i-phone when it's released in the UK, can I draw on your experience with it?

Is it pairing, sending & receiving calls without problems?
Are you able to transfer your contacts to the car?

Do you have a MOST Bus system to connect the i-phone to the car & listen to your music?

Thanks

On my 530i you used your code of choice but on my X3 you were provided with a specific code number that you had to use.
cheers

I've tired an iphone in my car and it paired with no problems, made and received calls ok and also transferred the address book. Didn't have it long enough to get a feel for call quality whilst driving along.

I've only just installed the BMW IPOD kit so if I can get my hands on one again I'll test it with that.
