I've got my HTC Desire (and my partner's HTC Desire) paired with our E61. However, we noticed that not all the phone numbers are available in the car's phonebook. Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone think of a reason for this?

It's not even a case of a few contacts not having all their numbers - there are plenty of contacts which don't appear at all, despite having phone numbers associated with them (the phone can have contacts with just email addresses etc).

with the contacts that do not sync, do they have a contact picture for them? if so, try deleting the contact picture and see what happens...also, what OS are you running on your phone?

Also, how many contacts are you trying to sync? if it's more than 500, try limiting the number of contacts 500 or less...

Thanks for your help. My Desire is running Android 2.2. It looks like that thread you linked to could be what I'm suffering from.

Regarding the number of contacts - pretty sure it's well under 500 - probably closer to 100. They do have photos though so I will try removing those to see if that works.

Thanks again.

There is another thing you need to be aware of. On the car the phone number is the key. So if the same phone number is present in more than one contact it will load only the first one. e.g. I have my home phone number stored under "Bruce Miranda" and also under "Home", the car will not display the "Home" entry.

I have a Droid 2 and most of my contacts have pictures and yet all of them DO appear! I would suggest deleting all paired phones from the car and then pair them again!

Ah, that definitely applies to me so I'll bear that in mind.

I will try a delete and re-pair first though, it is easy enough to do.
