HELP !!!

I have paired my Nokia N80 with my 535Ds BT - but the contacts list isn't downloading. I get the "please wait" message, but it never disappears.

Please tell me I don't have to buy a new phone

I tried to transfer contacts list with a lot of different phones.
I never had success with Nokia models (perhaps the latest: E60, N80, N90, N95 ).
In my experience almost all Motorola (V3, V3?, V3xx, K3) and Samsung (SGH-5xx, SGH-X820) will pair and transfer contacts without
problems.
I experienced 50% success with Sony Ericsson models.
I hope this will help you a bit.

FYI - I gave up, bought a Nokia 6300 and sold my N80 for the cost of the new one.

No, Nokia with Symbian operating system that is. There are new models without it.

Apologies!

I get the signal strength indicator, but I'm not sure about the battery strength - what does that look like?

I don't know. Never saw one in my car, I just heard others can see it. Can you make a photo of your signal strength indicator in iDrive? Also can you check the firmware on your phone by typing *#0000#

Thanks.

I've never heard of anyone getting a battery strength indicator on the CID...
