My Ride: 530d, 2004, full option.
I have a nokia 9500 comunicator and works just fine with BT.
The only problem is that you have to transfer all the contacts one by one.

I have the same problem as Brae60 - but with a Nokia 6820.
The pairing worked fine, but the Phone menu still says "Please activate phone"
Strangely enough, all calls made on the phone do go through the car as they should....but I can't use the steering wheel buttons to initiate any calls and I don't have access to the contact list.
Also, I don't have a nav system (no voice button next to the iDrive button). Does that mean I can't use the Voice command button on the steering wheel either?

Here - This is getting easier. If the phone is on this list of Bluetooth Qualified models, it will work with the E60 properly.

I have tried to pair a Nokia 6600 with my BMW and it wasn't possible.
I have at the moment two phones connected, a SE T610 and a MOTOROLA V550. Both of them are working fine.
The 6600 wasn't possible to pair, i tried several times, the car recognises the phone but the problem is in the phone that won't let the connection to work. It says something like " ...Device not compatible..."
But that's only my personal experience, maybe your 6600 could have a different software and let the connection to work.

You need to put the passkey into both devices to pair.

Not to burst your bubble, but just because the phone has bluetooth does not mean it will work with the E60's BT. Not all BT speak the same lingo, as I have learned, BT in BMW is made by Motorola, thus, mainly Motorola and Siemans works best with some SE models too. Nokia are not fully functioning with BMW BT.
