I think you should get together and make a joint request that BMWNA retrofit your cars.

My 11/03 build came in with a BT passkey. Delivering the passkey certainly shows the intention of BMW to have BT available even if it was not available at that stage. All pre-Sept 2004 E-60 owners: Shouldn't all pre Sept 2004 be covered under warranty?

I agree with your analysis of the significance of the inclusion of the passkey card. They should upgrade the software, and replace the TCU if necessary, to make the BT work under warranty. Yesterday, I got my car back from the dealer after the completion of the emissions upgrade. They used my info regarding the BT bulletin to fix the BT. I didn't need a TCU. They didn't charge me for the BT repair. I got a BT phone last night, did the pairing procedure and it works.

Defndr: Congratulations! We were at our respective dealers at exactly the same time, for the same 2 reasons. Which phone did you get? My dealer already had the procedure and when I go to communications, it says "Activate Phone".

How much we are looking for if the dealer activate it?

Motorola V551 on Cingular. I dropped Verizon to avoid their BT problems. What are you using.

Nothing until April, when I can upgrade. Since I'd like Palm integration, the Treo 650 is all there is, on Verizon. Hopefully there will be something new out by then but I think the 650 can be hacked to get around Verizon's lockout.
