My DIY parrot 3100 Bluetooth install
Man, this post couldn't have come at a better time as my Parrot CK3000 Evo has just arrived and i intended to fit that with the Multican adaptor to allow the steering wheel controls to control it this weekend. However RudeJa i'm confused as this will be my 4th Parrot CK300 evo install (all previous installs were in different cars without the Multican bit) and from MY experience i've never had to connect up the mute cable as the parrot module is connected between the Stereo and the car, i.e. unplug the stereo ISO connectors, plug the parrot ISO connectors into the ones coming out of dash then replug the stereo back into the parrot (apologies if that was obviously and didn't need the long winded explanation.) therefore meaning that the parrot can control what ever comes out the speakers as it sits between them and the stereo, so on a call it mutes them regardless of what the stereo thinks is going on. Is this not the case on an E60 install or have i been missing a trick in not setting up the mute wire (if applicable)?. Also where did you mount the microphone, as i was thinking of mounting it (poss superglue) in the position where the stock E60 mic goes in the interior light cluster area. Either way i'll try and do some decents pics and attempt maintain the quality of HOWTO that you've done here, nice one fella and well done.
Also can ANYONE [LOOKS AROUND] tell me how to "pop out" the trim above the stereo as i'm scared to death of trashing the dash. I just can't seem to find a Post like RudeJA's (i.e. with all the pics) of taking out the stereo to get to the connections on the back
Regards,
Andir

You can have both. Just use the Voice Input for your Bluetooth and the Additional Input connections for the AUX.
Just finished fitting a THB Bury cc9060 into a 2004 e60, this page helped a lot, I used the pins 6 and 12 in the 12 wire block(voice output), and worked out super!!
Great tread! Also fitted 4 pod reverse sensors, worked out a treat!

and the best thing about the parrot is that it is not limited to an handful of phones that you have on the oem bmw bluetooth system... congratulations. check out link on how i hid the parrot in my g/f's car...
