Sounds funny, but I'm looking for a help, for my BMW dealer.
So the problem is connected with the bluetooth pairing, some time ago I've read here that It is possible to pair an ordinary mobile phone with the idrive, even if with the original BMW phone(Motorolla). The thing is that they have never switched off (delete out of the system) the original BMW phone (Motorolla), and they just don't believe me that it is actually possible. So please help me if you got any information on this.
Thanks in advance!

I feel your pain. I am also going through the same issue. Had my car for about 6 weeks now, and they still dont know what I'm going on about. I have a CPT9000, and can get various phones to pair, however it wont use the third party phones. These include Blackberries, XDA's and Nokia phones. I'm still waiting to hear from BMW (in the UK) who want to see the car. I suggested that the car, in its history has had a software upgrade as I have MP3 functionality on my box standard Busnav Radio. I'll let you know how I get on!

I'm not sure where you read that the original BMW phone (CPT9000) and Bluetooth can work simultaneously. As far as I know, there's only been information to the contrary on this site.
When an older car is retrofitted with Bluetooth, the CPT9000 has to be deprogrammed, not just removed from the cradle.

Actually, he probably is referencing the BTUM as that's really the only way this will work.

I'm not going to fork out that amount of cash for something that I wouldn't use too much. However it is cool. Just god my o2 sim which I'm going to forward my Blackberry to, should BMW not be helpful. (and so far she is probably the most unhelpful person i know....... great legs though!)
