Hi all members. I have a questions regarding Bluetooth compatibility to play MP3 files from my new Motorola RAZR V3XX through my car speaker system.
Any one has any information??
I have a 2004 530I that originally did not have a Bluetooth and the dealer had installed a retrofit on the car and I have been using Motorola first generation RAZR cell phones since, and the phone worked good.
what I am trying to do now is using Motorola V3xx that has a built in music player that plays MP3 files. I am trying to play the MP3 through the car audio system. when I tried to do so, the phone gave a message stating that the BMW device dose not support, is there any solution?
By the way I am located in Atlanta, GA USA.
I hope some one out there has some info to help me.
Great day all. And thanks
Enjoy the drive

AFAIK it is impossible to play MP3 , via BT, on original iDrive BMW equipment.

You're correct - there isn't any profile support for it. I have attempted to pair my Motorola Q with the E60 as a Stereo Headset. The Q finds the BMW, but when it queries the car for profile support, the phone breaks the connection and reports that the car doesn't support the function.
A few years ago, Samsung and BMW jointly announced a bluetooth A2DP/AVRCP equipped 5 series with a B&O stereo option. I don't know if it ever got produced. Perhaps it was just for the Korean market...
