Hi there. I missed this first time round. I'm an MDA Pro user. Without modifications, the phone was somewhat erratic. However, if you download a program called Jetware Mobile (try it free for a month) from:

http://www.jetwaremobile.com/

you may, like myself, that all the problems disappear. I have nearly 2,000 contacts in my phone and the native interface in unable to cope with this. However, this software allows you to tag contact entries such that only they get loaded into the car. Give me a shout if you need more help.

Damn, I should answer the question...

When you discover the BMW device, you will need to type in a passkey, sao just type something like 1-1-1-1, then the car will ask you to type that same sequence in, then you're done.
