Maybe Bluetooth Connector in fall 2005?
#1
Hi everyone!!
I am wondering about a message posted in the Bluetooth forum here in e60!!
For all the previous e60s built before March 2004, there might be a simple solution for Bluetooth function in these cars... maybe a cheaper solution to make Bluetooth work with a special connector they are making... can someone confirm that or is that simply a made up rumor?
I hope BMW will solve this issue for early adopters, and can upgrade Bluetooth at a much much reasonable price, or free upgrade...
please let us know... thanks!!
Peace!!

I'd like to add my disappointment, as well. My March 2004 545 does not have bluetooth capability according to the folks at BMW Assist. So, I'm stuck with an expensive upgrade or no integrated phone or hope that someday in the distant future there is a BMW miracle like you're suggesting!

Call BMW NA and give them your VIN number. They should be able to verify the exact date of production and possibly verify whether or not you can have BT...

My dealership has not heard of any solution for pre 3/04. Anyone heard anything new regarding this issue. I want bluetooth and don't think I should have to pay for a new TCU!
