Got mine a couple of days ago and fitted ok. One curious thing is that my K800i shows the Portable Hands Free icon at the top of the screen as soon as it is plugged into the snap-in adaptor (even when the snap-in adaptor isn't in the car!) and then there is another one once the bluetooth connects; I have two handsfree icons at the top of the screen!

I'd be interested to know how anyone else's behaves with the snap-in adaptor...

I have the same 2 'headphones' , also i have a green arrow on the phone as well, this is present before the car ignition key is inserted. Seems also now occasionally to fail to disconnect after a call I made has finished.

The snap-in is fooling the phone that an external wired handsfree is connected too, hence the icon. The cradle is capable to making a wired connection to your phone. Its just that most people associate the cradle with bluetooth only.

Sony phones tend to 'mature' a lot with each firmware upgrade, maybe a firmware upgrade will solve your connection problem.

I have ordered the SE K800i snap-in adaptor some 4 weeks ago and come to think of it, the parts guy from the local dealer hasn't called me
I must check with him tomorrow to see if it has arrived
