iPhone - not charging on my LCI 535xi

Hi,
While I love the integration between my iPhone and my 535xi (bluetooth rocks, iPod interface working great!) I have noticed that while connected to the interface, it is not charging the phone. When I plug my video iPod back into the console, it charges, but when I plug the iPhone in, nothing. I called BMW and they indicated they were aware of the problem.
Is everyone else having this issue even with older cars?

Yes. When I plug my iphone into the usb device with the new bmw ipod connector cable the iphone says that it is not a compatible accessory with the iphone. It will not charge.
