iphone bluetoth compatibility

Hi,
does anyone know if the new apple iphone is compatible with my bluetooth in my E60 520D 2007? I have a sony ericsson K800I which works excellently and transferes my address book to the car - will the new iphone do this??
Any help would be much appriciated.

mods: 20" Vellano wheels, H&R spring, SS x-pipe + SS Race exhaust, hardwired V1
E60 530i - sport package, bluetooth
mods: M-tech full kit, OEM M5 side mirrors, Hella smoked tail light, Formula One Classic tint 50% all around
I have no luck on pairing my iPhone with my car... Mine is 1.1.1 version of firmware.
Anybody experiencing the same thing?

2006 530i and 1.0.2 iphone - Works perfectly.
I'm curious about 1.1.1 iphone not pairing, because I'm thinking of updating the phone to 1.1.1 (no hacks or 3 party apps on my phone

My UK standard iphone wont pair with my 05 e60 fully. When it does I dont get the sound through the cars speaker although its selected on the iphone menu. Also it lose connection really easily.
