If eventually there is a way to use Verizon or some other service with the iPhone, that would be the best route for me personally.
one of the reasons that ATT was a good fit for Apple was the GSM network which is the predominant network worldwide. Only ATT and T Mobile use GSM in the US, so a natural marriage when Apple is looking at selling to the world. I can take my ATT phone almost anywhere in the world with confidence that it will work.

All plans are here:

http://www.apple.com/iphone/easysetup/rateplans.html

I have the phone and am just using the $59.99/mo plan. With unlimited data and rollover minutes, I don't need anything more.

Eh not bad I guess thought it would have been more... Might have to look into it more. I thought it was going to be 3 arms and a leg like how the black berry plans are... $40 for the plan minimum and then you have to tack on a $30 black berry data plan otherwise the phone's useless... so for $60 you can get it all with the iPhone. except the 200 text... thats weak.

Ya I like GSM phones and those are the only ones I will get. I dont like being "TIED" to a phone. I like to be able to pull the SIM card out and pop it in a new phone when I want to. Lets see when people will unlock the iPhone to be used on the T-Mobile Network. hahahah
