Hello

I installed the Dension Gateway 500 in my 530da with E61 2005 Navigator Professional , Professional radio, CD loader and reprogrammed to read mp3. AUX and USB devices work perfectly.

I do not have any modules installed for the original BMW phone with or without bluetooth.

My problem comes when I installed the module to add BTA1500 bluetooth connection to the vehicle. As I read, this module you can integrate with the i-drive to get the information of the phone appears on the screen. Not if I have to activate some option to reschedule or re-activated for any specific module and to use the bluetooth. Currently, I work the steering wheel buttons to answer and hang up and I do not see the info on the screen. I can not raise the intensity at the microphone, because I hear too low.

Sorry for my English, I am from Spain.

A greeting and thanks.

Well, i'm looking into installing a BTA1500 myself.
I have a bluetooth capable TCU now, but it's just not working with my iPhone (my iPhone can't see it, but all my other phones can).

The only problem i'm having, is that i don't know if i can install the BTA1500 while leaving my TCU installed (it's used for voice recognition too). Anyone has got experience with this?

(BTW, the BTA1500 has it's own microphone which you need to install, it can't use the microphone already installed in the car)

not correct, the TCU only provides voice recognition for the bluetooth phone commands (ie dial, store name, etc) if you don't have the prof nav. the prof nav has its own microphone for the voice recognition (right hand side one in an LHD car) which in turns sends commands to the TCU, then the left microphone is used for phone calls. I know because I had to install that second microphone when I did the retrofit. What I don't know is if/how the BTA1500 will interact with the prof nav.
