I've recently retrofitted bluetooth in my '04 by replacing the TCU and recoding. BT is working perfectly with my Blackberry Bold 9650. I now would like to install an eject box and snap in adapter to have hidden/integrated phone charging and possible antenna connection. I checked to see if I have the harness and coax cable in the center console and I do. I've read that it is only possible to use an eject box with the CPT9000 phone on older cars. Is that true or can I achieve an integrated solution with my BB Bold?

The 04 vehicles cannot have snap in eject boxes as the wiring is not compatible. SIB is attached. Refer to Point 4.

Yeah, that's what I've read. I guess what I don't understand is why I would not be able to at least use the power connections to charge the phone. I've dropped this mod for now since there is no adapter for my phone.

The wiring was set up for the CPT Moto phones that were the BMW "official" phones at that time. I tried to retrofit one in my 05 530 and the tech discovered that the voltage polarity was reversed and the boxes could not be retrofit to work in any way.

Now that is a nice definitive answer - thanks! I've also considered splicing my charger into the rear cigarette lighter wires to at least conceal the phone in the storage box.
