When I bought my car the MULF was knackered so I replaced it with one with the same part number. Paired my phone straight away and I could make and receive calls without issue. But that was all. No phone book, etc. I then 'default coded' the module and hey presto, the phone book appeared! Unfortunately, incoming calls are still showing as unknown. Even if they are in the phone book, or have been previously dialled from the car. I'm presuming that they should be shown with at least a number, or a contact?
Anyone any ideas or suggestions as to how this may be rectified?

Is the ULF you did Mount flashed with at least the same software version as the one you did dismantle form the car ? , to make a "default" coding of the ULF is not enough , also your adresse's must on some phones also be on the SIM Card in order to Work properly with the BMW ULF's

Actually no. I don't know how I could check software version? Particularly in the old unit, though I still have it I think.
Interesting point about the SIM card. I'll check the phone.

Apparently, as I use an iPhone, I can't put contacts on the sim.
Ah well .....
