i have a 2005 09/04 production.as i understand, it should have it. no? how can i know if i do have bt or not? and that all i need is a progman update?

I have been away for a few days, but it looks like Rudy directed you to where the mic is located.
If you have a 2005 09/04 production e60, you should most likely already have BT, especially if yours is a US model. You can probably just take a bluetooth phone and pair it. To be sure, just call BMW of North America, give them the last seven digits of your VIN, and they can tell you if you have it.

This will improve your mic pick up and reduce background noise. However if you are not getting good quality on stand still this will not do anything for you and you need to look at the electronics involved.

so guys, can you please tell me.DO I HAVE BT OR NOT? its killing me. first i thought all european 09/04 have BT.but now i checked, and near the roof opening button, i dont seem to have a mic. HOW CAN I KNOW?
