i have recently bought a nokia 8800 and although it initially worked i no longer get reception and the idrive freezes when trying to use it.

i have just come back from my dealer who says that they cannot do anything about it as the phone is not on the approved bmw list.

do any of you guys have any experience of this. if it is true i might just have to sell my beloved nokia

no idea why any phone with BT would not work. if you decide to sell it, though, i'm a buyer.

I have sw V3.6 and mine Nokia8800 shows same simptoms. Always when I conect it from the scratch works fine. After first car shutdown (and then start up) contacts sinchronization works but I can not make any calls any more. Does your 8800 works with e60 BT system?

Software vers. 3.6 has a problem concerning bluetooth.
It's covered by warranty. It takes about 15min. to update your phone.
Go to an official nokia repair center and they can do it while you wait.
If you life in Belgium I can do it for you.
Be sure they wont charge you for the update, it is, within the warranty period free.
If you are not sure if your phone is under warranty, give me a signe and I can check it for you.
DO NOT give your IMEI number on this public site. PM me

Now that's excellent Nokia customer service. I don't have a Nokia phone but I wish I did. I love this forum!

Thanks. Last question. This sw version you recomend is latest or not? If not, should I go for the latest or this recomended by you? Your 8800 works with BT in e60?
