I recently purchased and 04 545i with integrated motorolla phone. The vehicle was built in 5/04. There was some paperwork that came with the car that has the telephone inoformation on it and some information about BT. My dealer says my car does not have BT. The phone that came with the car is out dated and not used by Cingular, my provider. Is there any way for me to tell if my car has BT and if it doesn't, what are my options. BTW the phone I have now is not a BT phone, I know...I obviously need to get one.

If your car is produced in May 04 you will likely have the necessary hardware for BT. You will have to get BT enabled by your dealer an perhaps some software updated. There is a service bulletin out that clearly tells dealers that this can be done but at the owner's expense. Total cost should be $200 to $300 for the software updates and changes.
