Dension BTA1500, need clarification

If I understand correctly, adding the Dension BTA 1500 to the Dension 500 will give you bluetooth without the need for dealership programming for bluetooth or updated TCU? (car is a 04) It will use it's own provided microphone, then use the car's speakers for audio, and display the phone book etc via iDrive like it does for the iPod content? That's the impresion I'm getting from their website and other sites. I have my Gateway 500 on it's way, so I'm looking into taking full advantage of it's abilities.

any one know the anwer for above i have fitted the bta1500 but dont have phonebook or dial out function from idrive what code do i need to add to the VO? thanks

I have been working on this for a while. I have enabled the bluetooth menu in iDrive, but cannot get the Bluetooth to actually turn on. I feel like I am so close. Is there anybody with a functions BTA1500 that could post his or her trace files?

To get it to pair up u have to press the forward button on the wheel once you have selected bt audio the pair up with pjone bluetooth with pin 0000
How did u get the bluetooth menu do you have factory bluetooth too? What did you code or add to vehicle order ?
