Sadly I can't answer that... Search the forums - this is where/how I was able to find out about my Bluetooth compatibility. It appears (according to what I've found on the forums) that if your E60 is a 2004 model year you need to have a special kit and software upgrade - cost somewhere between $350-$500 plus labor...

Hope this helps?

Cheers!

I also have a May build 04. My understanding is that all that is needed for BT compatibility is a software upgrade to latest version. There is no need for modules and the like. Since I'm already getting an upgrade done for warranty purposes (DME), I'm expecting to pay no more than $100. I would think if you were only getting an upgrade that you would probably pay about $250-$300.

Think of a reason for them to upgrade your software anyway...say that idrive continually and intermittenly crashes during operation. Then, oh, BTW, can you install this Bluetooth thingy?

T637 Phonebook sync?

Just got my BT enabled yesterday on my 03/04 E60. I'm using a T637, I was able to pair and I can make/receive calls nicely. My phonebook doesn't transfer though.

Sounds like the phonebook should just transfer automatically with a T637, is that correct, or do I have to do anything to force it?

Thanks

Pavel

How do you have your address book sorted, First name or Last name.

I had to change mine before it would sync. I can't remember which one is right and my phone is dead right now.

I have it stored First name, Last name. Which did you switch it to?

I talked to the service rep and he told me to just be patient, that it may take quite a while until the phonebook items pop up, even an hour or so, is this what everyone else is seeing?

Sucks to hear that the 6230 doesn't fully work with the 5's bluetooth... At least I have a T637 lying around
