I can't say for certain....
But I can say that I tested a T-Mobile MDA, which is essentially the same unit..... and it did NOT work.

I ended up getting the phone (after trying a co-workers with the car).
The phone pairs with the car, the only odds things I noticed are...
a) There is no signal strength meter, just the antenna indicator when the phone is paired with the car
b) contact syncing is a little off, the contacts from Pocket Outlook and the SIM card appear, but not the
ones from GoodLink
c) I can't get the phone to not ring in handsfree mode
Overall people tell the the sound quality is a little better than my previous phone (Motorola V600)

Try installing this program into the 8125. Allows signal strength, battery info, and carrier info to car kits. Works a treat in with my Parrot CK3100 and my now defunct Jeep GC bluetooth unit. I am going to try it with my 530i on Tuesday when it arrives but should work without problem....

Good program...Let us know if it works...

I've been using this program for a month now with my Verizon XV6700 and it works perfectly. The catch is to wake up the phone BEFORE you start the car, otherwise you may not get the bluetooth to connect, once that happens, the phonebook and data transfers completely and the signal strength and missed call indicators work. No battery, no carrier though. Very happy I found this software!

I downloaded it for my Cingular 8125 and I am very happy with it, have the signal strength meter
back is great and the being able to organize the way the contacts show is very helpful.
I definitely recommend this piece of software.

I am getting my CIP upgraded next wed and hope that it will fix my phone (QTEC 9100, made by HTC) as it is is too quiet for the people i speak to.
I have been looking into this and similar problems for a while and almost everything seems to point to the bmw cip version. Another thing to try is to upgrade the phone software to the latest version as that seems to improve phonebook issues sometimes.
I tried the Jetware software a short while back and found it made no difference, although i never noticed any additional things like signal strength... maybee after the cip upgrade i'll give it another go...

I had my car upgraded the CIP 23.03 at the start of last week (the CCC fried when the tried to install the recall patch for the BMW assist). After the upgrade my 8125 started pairing very oddly, I could receive calls and if I dialed with the phone it would play the the car, but I couldn't download the address book or dial from iDrive.
I had Jetware 1.15 installed and tried disabling it and that made things worse. I upgraded to version 1.20 of Jetware and everything was happy again.
Jetware to the rescue again.
BTW anybody out there tried an 8525 yet?
