cingluar phone for '07 550
#1
I just got my 07 550i and it supposed to have integrated bluetooth. I have a number of bluetooth phones already, none of which work or are on the "approved" list. So, I went to the Cingular store to try one of the Razor V3. I went to two stores and none of them work. Supposedly I have to have the right level of SW but none of the RZRs have that SW. I can but from the BMW Wireless guys at AWS but the price is 5X what I can get it for at the Cingular store. From what I an tell in searching this forum, others seem to have been able to get Razor V3s to work.
I think I am following the pairing directions correctly. I can find the BMW on the phone, I select Accept Device, I put in a 4 digit code of 0000 in the iDrive and then get a msg that the connection was refused. After that, many time its wont even find the phone again.
Any suggestions on phones or changes in my process/approach?
Thanks

Ok, so I'm gonna have to re-register with a new ID after this one. The only help here that that I found this from another member who made the same mistake.
When I tried to pair the phone and entered the key code, I went up top to the "squared arrow" to hit "enter". Duh, I should have selected down and accepted the code. I've noticed this before on other features. iDrive really should color code when actions are needed vs information.
My phone is now paired and working. Sorry for the false alarm.
