It happens to me too.? I use both Siemens S65 and SE T630 and there are times when the other party has already hung up, the bluetooth system did not detect it.? Using the iDrive to disconnect seemed to be the only logical solution.
Also I have not found a way to continue a conversation on the mobile phone after I switch off ignition - the bluetooth system presumes that I would still continue the conversation in the car!? I tried getting out and locking the car, the other party could still "talk" to the empty car and the conversation did not "transfer over",? anybody has this experience?

This happens to me. The only solution I have found is to sit in the car until I've finished the call. Frustrating.

No, I'm using a Motorola V3 Razr which is fully bluetooth compatible, and you do not need to buy a phone through BMW to use the bluetooth feature.

So you just had you BMW dealer install your cell phone bracket, and you did the rest? If so I was thinking about doing the same thing, but I am told if I did it would not work right with my iDrive, hence: experiencing the problems you are currently having.
But I am not an BMW dealer, just an e60 owner trying to get all the answers before I install my own, or pay their $750.00 for the 100% cell phone with their identify BNW chip iDrive kit and labor.

Has anyone had this problem that I have nearly half the time when using my phone with bluetooth? When done with a bluetooth call through the cars audio system, and the party I talk with hangs up, the idrive/bluetooth connection won't release the call.
There is no one on the other end anymore, and I can hear a 'click' of the other phone hanging up, but the idrive display continues to show the call as if it were active, and the antenna icon still blinks, and I cannot make any other calls.
Even if I push the disconnect button on the steering wheel, I can't get the call to disconnect. I've even tried pushing this many times with no success.
Also, if I turn off the car and walk away, the idrive continues to stay lit and it acts like the call is ongoing!!!!!!!!!!!!
for the record, I have a Moto Razr v3 (and it is the second Razr which occured the same way)
Any help would be great. I think I have idrive around version 15 (I know, it isn't really that CIP number, but I don't know any more about which one/number it should be).

Just walk away from the car. Tell the other person to hold on. You will lose connection and then it will transfer to the headset. In the v710 you have an option to transfer to headset - and then you can walk out of the car.
I for one have never had the car not recognize that the other party has hung up.

I have a Moto V551, and my phone will disconnect itself a few seconds after the call ends. At first I would disconnect the call through the I-Drive, but found that it would disconnect itself after a few seconds. Perhaps the problem is not the I-Drive but the phone settings.

Presley,
the Bluetooth function that we are referring to does not use a bracket or any mounting hardware for the phone. Bluetooth is a wireless connection between the car and the cell phone.
