Can I manually add phone numbers to iDrive
#1
I have a corporate issued Blackberry and the security protocol prohibits data transmision via bluetooth to be enabled. It syncs fine and I can make and receive phone calls, I just cannot access my address book. I would like to just add 10-15 commonly used phone numbers to make dialing easier and safer. Any thoughts?
BTW, I have a 2007 550i.

I don't think you can do what you asking. It may be a long shot but you may be able to see if they corporate policy can be modified to allow transfer from a single category only. The BB has a setting that allows for this type of thing so maybe you'll be able to add the 10-15 commonly used numbers to that single category?

I called and checked and they are pretty tight. I work for a bank and they said they have no exceptions for this policy.
I think you are right though, I was just hoping that there was something I missed.

You should be able to program numbers for voice dialing in the vehicle, independent of the phone. Those stay in the vehicle, I did that on my 04 525 and it worked fine. That may have changed but not sure, I know the 2010 has the ability to program numbers to the buttons on the radio. I have not programmed and numbers for voice dialing on the new car yet.
