as the title says. i have the cradle in the center console and hate it. i want to get rid of it, and get the retrofit.

also my bmw dealer is driving me crazy! and bmw of north america isnt any better.
they keep telling me to talk to the another.

the dealership says to get a new cradle and i dont want a retarded cradle.

then bmwNA says to talk to the tech and they can set it up but i would have to get a new module.
and they didnt say what module i need.

i keep telling them about the serivce bulletin and they dont listen.
they both pretend like i dont know anything.
yes granted i just got the car.
but i have been on this forum everyday for about 3-4 hrs a day since on got my car
13 days ago researching this bluetooth retrofit.

so i am at a lost. i have no idea what to do. i dont want to take it to another dealership,
because they tell me that i cant get a loaner car bc i didnt buy from them.

Having a cradle means that there was previously a phone inserted for both direct charging and use of the antenna built in the car. You can still have BT phone with a cradle.

Do you know what make/model phone the cradle is for? Is there an insert or adapter for a specific phone in the cradle?

In iDrive, under "Communications", does it show CPT 9000 or BT as phone options?

Bottom line is with your production date, your car should be BT ready with only a software update. You should not need to change any "modules".
