What?s clear in the documentation is that the snap-in adapter automatically charges your mobile phone and connects it with the vehicle's external antenna for improved network reception. But what?s not clear is access via the iDrive and audio system to music content on your phone. So specifically for iPhone, does the snap-in allow access to digital music ? the same as the iPhone/AUX input cable would allow?

Anybody with an iPhone snap-in have confirmation as to the access of music data from your snap-in?

If you have a E60, then the snap only provides charging and aerial not matter which phone. Nothing on the idrive extra on the idrive because of the snap-in. On the newer cars BMW have introduced a new 6NF snap in adaptor that gives you some more smartphone integration.
