that is BS.. I got the labor done for 1.5 hours. You can try another dealership if anything. I'm pretty cool with my SA and the service tech guy at BMW so that might be why. They see me too often. LOL.

Engine: Custom Remus cat-back exhaust w/chrome square tips, K&N Air Filter, Charcoal Filter Removed, Sprint Booster :-), 50/50 mix of 91+100 Octane, EuroRev ECU Remap (coming soon lol), Dinan High-Flow Throttle Body (coming soon...maybe lol)
Interior: Portable Sirius Stilletto 100 w/car kit, Garmin Nuvi 680 mounted below rear-view mirror, LCI-style I-drive knob, Dark Poplar Center Dashboard Trim.

Seriously I haven't had it coded yet. It's in the car - I get SOS Malfunction errors (to be expected). Pressing the SOS button gave me a nice chat with a 911 operator. Told him I was testing the unit and didn't realize it was gonna connect me to 911. He said no problem and complimented me on my choice of car (told him I had a beemer
). I'll try to have it done this weekend. If it works, I'll let ya know!

Yea, i did a complete swap. Its pretty simple. I have an extra TCU and have to see if its a newer TCU.. if so, want to buy it from me? that all depends if it works. I'll sell it cheap of course. =)

Here is "the word" from the wonderful folks @ Century-West regarding Euro TCU's:
"My shop foreman has looked into the concern. The TCU that is in your 545i is not able to set up for use in the U.S. . The only thing you can do is replace the TCU and program."
Sigh - it's what I knew, but refused to believe. Sux lol.

Has anyone gotten anywhere with swapping a 9/03 build date e60 TCU with a newer one to add bluetooth? Any success? Did any of you have a bluetooth antenna installed in the car from the factory?
