I just purchased a 2007 BMW 530i. My cell phone is an htc with Google and my carrier is Verizon. The phone successfully paired with BMW unit and appears to function fine except that it wont sync my phone contacts. The dealer said that my phone was not one of the ones that had been tested with the BMW Bluetooth and that is probably why it will not sync my contacts. Is there some way to update or change the existing BMW Bluetooth software in order for my BMW Bluetooth to sync my phone contacts? I do not wish to buy a another phone.

Are your contacts saved to the sim memory or the phone memory? (if they're on the sim, try copying them to the phone memory)

My contacts are currently saved in the phone memory. Should I try saving them in the sim memory as well?

When I had this problem on my previous phone it was because the contacts were on the sim. I copied them to the phone memory and then it worked.
...as you already have your contacts on the phone memory, I'm out of ideas. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try copying them to the sim to see if this works for you?

It should work, it works with my HTC also.. (HTC sensation - E61 550i 2006)

Delete your phone from your onboard car memory.
Pair again and pay attention to your phone!
At some point the phone will ask your permission to share your contacts with the BMW bluetooth...., say yes to that and you should be fine.

I had the same probs, only phone and no cantacts at first..., until I noticed the "share your contacts" thing on the phone.
Without approving on the phone it wont show/sync contacts in Idrive it seems..

Hope this helps, let us know..
