Bluetooth Retrofit or Activation

Picking up my 520dSE in a couple of weeks form the dealer; UK stock car manufactured week 51 (Dec 2007)
Didn't spec Bluetooth like an idiot, so need to arrange a handsfree unit.
Or, can BMW Bluetooth, be retro fitted / activated after purchase ?

Jonny, check out my post "Just Had BT software updated no problems!!, " its five post before yours. I had it done to my 2004 545i , its a US spec car but I think you should be able to do it to yours. Hope this helps.

Spoke to the dealer and they can fit an after market product for ?280 which links to the steering wheel, but not the iDrive functions.
Nice colour, I've gone for what the UK calls space grey which looks the same, most over here tend to be in Silver - nice but filthy in 10 mins. (weekend convertable is similar colour too)

There lies the problem I suspect, the UK520dSE has a simplified iDrive, not BMW assist. I think I just get radio and on board computer.

Just a newbie question. If the retrofit would be possible updating the TCU software, where is the microphone to use with the pairing cellphone ? We need an installation ?
