My Ride: '06 550i 6 Speed MT, Navigation, PDC, Cold Weather Pkg, Logic7, Prem Pkg, Sport Pkg, Active Steering, Comfort Seats, Comfort Access, HUD, Alpine White on Black Dakota & a Big Grin ;-) <---- On the vessel from Germany... ******** '05 545i 6 Speed MT, Navigation, PDC, Cold Weather Pkg, Logic7, Prem Pkg, Sport Pkg, UUC EVOIII SSK, Silver Gray on Black Dakota..... So I paired the car with my Mot MPX 220 and something strange is happening...

I can dial, and get the call from the car, but When a call comes in, I can hear it ringing from the system, but can't answer... and if i'm going to 'phone settings' it says 'please activate your phone' even though it does work.. (no phonebook and other options though...) strange..

Anyone ?

Evidently, Motorola MPX220 isn't compatible with BMW Bluetooth system. The RAZR V3 would be a better bet.

It would really help if you would let us know at least what country you're in. Use the locations field in your profile.

Thanks,

Sam

This is a good example of how technology changes so quick that devices don't always interface with each other.
I had a Nokia 6820, which was less than a year old, that wasn't compatible with the bluetooth on my 545i 2005. I got the same dumb messaage "please activate phone now" eventhough the devices were already paired.

I got the Motorola V551 and had no problems at all with the Bluetooth in my car.
The V551 was cheaper $100 than my Nokia 6820 (around $200 at the time I bought). Good luck and hope you find a solution to your needs.
