Bluetooth question

Yesterday I made a phone call to a local golf course to make a tee time. I made the call while drivng, via Bluetooth and my Motorola RAZR.
The course number is answered by a recording, which says... for pro shop press 1, for restaurant press 2, etc....
I wanted to press 1, but the BMW bluetooth will not allow this. I went to the dial number menu, entered 1.... but it would not let me send the number.
Next I tried dialing 1 on my phone, but it would not work.
Anyone else notice that BMW bluetooth won't allow you to dial numbers while in a call?

It does. Press the iDrive button and it comes up with options 1) hang up 2) suffix dialing.
Does yours do that?

If you're in the iDrive display while in the call, the system should give you a keypad option. Mine does - push the button and I get End Call and Keypad. Select keypad and it's active - dial away.
