Hi Guys!

I tried searching the forum but didn't find much. I have a '05 530d equipped with Professional Navigation and Professional Bluetooth (the one with the BMW bluetooth phone in the armrest option 638). I also have the telematics function with the sos button (option 605) I know I can't connect another phone other the BMW one to the car. I can connect my Galaxy S2, the car "sees" my phone, I connect to it,it appears in my idrive but cannot call or receive calls through my Samsung.

I have the opportunity to buy two used BT modules, one from another e60 that has regular BT setup and another one that has a TCU unit that has the sos button. My question is, did anyone do this swap ? Do I only need to swap the BT module? Is the BT and TCU module the same thing?

Any advice/input is greatly appreciated.

I'm prity shore you would need to do some coding with anything u change .all modules in your car are specifically made for your car
