Bluetooth not working??

Hi
I'm brand new to these forums so go easy..
I recently purchased a used 2007 520d. The problem is i can't get my iphone 4s to pair with my car, I have tried 3 other phones belonging to family and friends and none of them can find the car either.
there are no other phones paired to the car and what is strange is that i cannot untick the box for bluetooth activation on the car.
I have tried disconnecting the battery for half hour but that didn't help.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem as there doesn't seem to be any answers out there, Is there a fuse for the bluetooth unit?
Any help would be much appreciated.
