...a couple of things for everyone to be aware of:

first, this does not update the iDrive software, so there is nothing that says it will be accessible by iDrive or give you the ability to use iDrive to navigate your iPod

second, and most important, BMW and Apple are working together as we speak to develop a BMW iPOD that will work via bluetooth. This will be a full iDrive software integration giving full access to the iPOD and navigation within iDrive... rumors have said it will be available in the new E90 first, but we'll have to wait and see

I would tell everyone to just wait a little longer, :devil: and we may find out as soon as tomorrow as there is a big MAC conference underway, and tomorrow is Steve Jobs Key Note speech where he will announce all the new goodies that will be available immediately. There are updates to the iPod for sure, as well as some more goodies to be announced.
