I just bought an 04 545i. Along with pretty much every other option, it has Nav, and the BMW CPT 9000 phone system in it. It is a 03/04 production. From all of the research I have done, everything 03/04 and after, should have the correct TCU, and bluetooth should just be an update to the TCU. A guy from the bmwcoding forums tried helping and enabling the same way he had done on his car, but it didn't work. I am seeing that some people have to have a bluetooth adapter in place of the phone on this kit. And as a side note, there are 2 papers in my glove box with information about bluetooth codes.

So, after all of that, here is my question. Does having the BMW CPT 9000 kit installed somehow take away from being able to just have the update ran, and bluetooth enabled? Will I Have to go the BT/phone adapter route, or can I still just get the update run? If so, could it be that mine has Nav as the reason the instructions he followed to enable bluetooth did not work on my car?

Any help/insight would be appreciated.
