After I got a tip from a German E60-owner, my Swedish dealer confirmed, that I can get a bluetooth retrofit kit to my E60 with Navi Prof. and mobilephone preparation (#640).

The price is aprox. 380 Euros. I'll get it installed, and keep You updated. This is to good to be true !!

My car was build in week 7, 2004. It came with Navi Prof. AND Mobilphonepreparation (option 640). I don't have the spilt, but I learned today that the 380 ? is without the ejectbox, which will add 100 ?.

I got the part no. from a German site:

84640304835

All the best

Why do you need the eject box with Bluethooth? The point of wireless is you don't have to plug it in.

Sorry folks, I made a wrong calculation when I mentioned the price.

The cost for the hardware, inclusive the eject box, and the hours to install it is exactly 1.000 ?.

Expensive, Yes, but the functionality is good.

Have a nice day

Hey, I am looking for this same BT retrofit for my new E61 530D. I have got phone preparation and Navi Prof too. My dealer in Poland says, it would be available in October 2004. True ?

BMW have so many problems with phone compatability in bluetooth that i wouldn't be at all surprised if the launch of BT in those areas still lacking the function is delayed for quite a while. They may be reluctant to launch it when only a couple of current phones are compatible.
