I've got a BlackBerry 7290 (although i don't use it much). Would that also work, as my car will have V20 software update installed & also has Bluetooth + Telematics?

Another question, my dealer is putting a suitable cradle into the armrest, but said the latest model Nokai that BMW have a cradle for is the 6230. Does anyone know if a 6021 will also fit in a 6230 cradle (they are basically the same size)? I do have a Nokia 6230 handset, but it's no longer used & my regualr usage phone now is the 6021.

Cheers,

If anyone is interested, today I upgraded my Blackberry 7100v (Vodafone UK) with the latest 4.1 handheld software from Hong Kong CSL

Downloaded it from here (select the link for 7100g) :-

https://www.blackberry.com/SoftwareDownload...lient=cB5RB4aRB

Installed it to the pc, then deleted the vendor.xlm file (search for it on your hard disk).

It upgraded my 7100v to v4.1.0.210 and now I can exchange my phonebook with Idrive in my 5 Series. Works a treat

Jason
BlackBerry devices running device software version 4.1 or later can transfer the Address Book. I have the BB 7100g and after following Jason's instructions my address book transfers to the car!

... Out of curiosity, did you look at the Treo's at all? If so, what are yor thoughts on them? ....
I selected the Blackberry because with Blackberry Server on our file server my email can be pushed automatically to my Blackberry. When I make a change in MS Outlook on my desktop computer for my calendar or contacts, the change is pushed out wirelessly to my Blackberry. When I change my Outlook calendar or contacts on my Blackberry, Outlook on my desktop computer is updated automatically. All synching is done wirelessly and automatically on the fly. No docking cradle is required. My new Blackberry is quick to download web pages and they are beautiful. I really happy with my Blackberry 8700c.

My father just got the 8700c. I tried to pair his last night with my car and it worked perfectly. Looks like I may have a new toy this weekend

Got a Qtek 9100 and is working just fine.
The phone book list is there and working. The sound is good.
It was necessary to try twice before the system start working.
But it's always faster to pair my SE T610.

Funny, on my 7520 just updated to 4.1 the names are displaying as Last name, first name...which for voice dialing by name is somewhat annoying...
