1) Garmin - nuvi 780

2) Tom Tom GO 720

3) And which other ones do you like and why?

Eddie, there is another choice ... the on board system in my E60. It may not be the most accurate nor fastest, but it has never failed to get me within striking distance of my destination.

This is probably no help for those E60ers who don?t have the Nav option but it works well for me, with only minor concerns.

I have a two year old Magellan GPS that I have used side by side in my Bimmer. I find the I-Drive knob and voice commands easier and safer to use than poking at the Magellan screen.

If you go with Garmin, you should know that they are changing chipsets. There has been some debate over which is better - old or new. The 780 is an older model, the newer 785 (models ending in 5) are the new models. Generally speaking though, the newer models should be better all-around. The 785T is a fantastic unit, as is the 765T.
