I have a att blackberry, company's phone, paired with my 2008 528 lci. but no phone book down loaded.

at least, is there any way to create a phone number list with iDrive manually?? it's pita to make a phone call without saved phone numbers.

check the bluetooth options on the blackberry and look at the "Contacts tranfer" option. you probably want it set to All, but Hotlist or Selected would help you trim down the list if you have too many.

also, the company can block the BB from transferring contacts, so that might be the other issue, but check the settings first. If you don't see a "contacts transfer" option on your bluetooth options screen they probably blocked it.

You can manually set up numbers in iDrive using the calling menus, and you can also assign specific numbers to the six touch-sensitive buttons under your hvac controls.

The other thing that can mess you up with BB's is if your company forces a screen lock, the phonebook wont transfer to the car (or register in the car) if the BB screen is locked.
