Address book transferred A-K only

I got a new Sanyo 6600 Katana for work yesterday and tried to sync w/ my '07 550. The phone recognized the car and the car recognized the phone, but I kept getting "communication failure" from the phone. I quit and figured I'd do some troubleshooting today. This morning when I got in the car it recognized the phone immediately and everything looked fine; only thing was, it had only transferred A-K of my address book. I tried to resync but the same thing happened. Called BMW SA who said, essentially, this phone is not on BMW's approved list and I was lucky to have any connection at all.
I'm relatively new to bluetooth, but I find this very frustrating. I can't understand how the car can communicate perfectly but only transfer half the address book. Only about 50 numbers in the address book. Any thoughts?

Does it always stop at the same entry? You might want to try deleting the first entry that doesn't transfer -- maybe there's some sort of data corruption that's causing it to bomb? If that doesn't help, maybe you can try deleting the last entry that transfers?
With only 50 numbers in the book, it doesn't sound like a memory limitation issue (which is why I think I only get a transfer to the letter T on my BlackBerry -- I have over 1500 entries and many of those have multiple numbers that transfer to the car as individual entries...)

It might be that you simply weren't waiting long enough. The first time the phone is paired to the car, it can take a relatively long time for the entire book to transfer.
Either way, glad to see it's working now...
