Currently i am using a tmobile blackberry 8700, before this i was using a cingular razr. With both phones i seem to have had the same problem.

My address book tends to only sync up with teh car once in a while. there are tiems it works perfectly adn times where my numbers dont transfer to my car.

what can i do to fix this?

 

The BMW uses the Synchronization Profile of Bluetooth which keeps the data in your phone contact list in synch with your car. Other cars, like Lexus, use the Object Push Profile, which requires user intervention, but pushes the data up immediately.

I have not seen any posts in the car or phone forums that define when the synchronization takes place. In actual use, I have seen it work in minutes or days and I can't explain that.

You can delete the phone from your I-Drive and re-pair it again, which will force a synchronization in a few minutes, or just accept the way it works.

 

I also have the T-Mobile BB 8700.

My problem is that the address book only reads the letters A-E.

At first, all the letters were readable, but then something happened and now I only see A-E in my address book.

I switched from a S/E T637 to Cingular Razr V3 and the phone syncs each and every time. I have not experienced your problem.
