My Ride: 2004 545iA Sport Pkg, Nav, L7 Premium Audio, Bluetooth, CD Changer, Aux Input, no Sirius, yet...
Here is the background:
I had the software in my 04 545 updated a few months ago to the newest CIP. Went very smooth, cost only ~$150 as part of some other work. All was fine, my VZW BB 8830 synced right up, phonbook transferred, worked with voice command (sort of) all was great!
Was time to upgrade because I needed to travel globally, and the VZW worldphone was not quite what it was billed to be.
Got a brand new ATT 8820, transferred everything, all was working. Went to sync with car, no dice - get error message on phone and car - unable to pair after I type in the code. It accepts the code from the BB, then the car prompts me, type in the same code - no dice. I deleted the VZW8830 phone config on the car, then tried it again. The VZW8830 connected right up again.
I have the most current version the software on the ATT8820, just in case - I wiped the BB, and re-loaded. Still no dice.
I invited a buddy over with a sprint 8830 and a newer 550i. He can connect to my car with his sprint 8830, I cannot connect to his 550i with my ATT8820. My VZW 8830 connects to his 550 like a champ,
Is the 8820 just a bluetooth problem?
Does anyone else have any experience with this BB from ATT and an e60?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Solved it.
In Bluetooth options, the defualt on the ATT 8820 was set to Discoverable=NO, was set to Yes on the VZW and Sprint 8830's. Changed this setting, and all was well, I'm embarassed to say....
