So, my 30 minute experience of the 6230i is great.

The 8800 was giving me the sh1ts, so I procured a 6230i and cradle; collected it today and stuck my SIM card straight in the phone and headed off.

Within 2 minutes the iDrive screen gave me multiple contact numbers as follows: -

Joe Bloggs default number (mobile for example)
Joe Bloggs1 next number (landline for example)
Joe Bloggs2 next number (switchboard for example)

The reception is great!

The voice dialling is hit or miss but works. I do have a Scottish accent with, no doubt, some quirky Australian influences so I can forgive that .

No SMS access!!!! Should I have??

Admittedly, I have not re-connected but no reason to believe this will be an issue.

You can keep your poseurs phone as far as I am concerned; the wife is a very grateful ?bin? (ssshhhh?).

Cheers

Thommo

Thanks!!!

Not too worried, the whole thing (idrive) is distracting enough without texting being in the mix!

Cheers
