After much anticipation and dashed hopes, our WeissLicht LED AE upgrade Version 2.0 is now released (for pre-LCI E60 ONLY, 2004-2007).
(Please don't inquire about V2 for LCI E60 because I honestly got no clue when these are expected to come out
)
Unfortunately I was only able to find a E39 M5 to test it on but the LHUXX1WYY V2 units are the same for the following vehicles. Results should be IDENTICAL as in this comparison for all the below fitments.
2001-2003 E39, 2004-2006 E53, 2004-2007 E60/E61, E63/E64 Pre-2009, E65, E70 Pre-2008, and E87 (2002-2006 only).
V1 left, V2 unit right. Notice the brand new massive heatsink enclosure.
V2 left, V1 right. Notice the bigger SMD LED on the V2 unit.

Also, if there's any pre-LCI E60s in the South Bay Area.
I'd love to test the V2 units on one and get some pics, special pricing incentive does apply for this volunteer
