The less expensive type you see on eBay uses an inferior LED chip type/design. CREE LEDs are much more expensive and the output is much greater. MTEC uses a True 3W setup this time around as opposed to 1W or anything that's overdriven.

That is the range of the LED's output color within the spectrum. The color will be consistent as long as it's made within the same batch so not to worry. MTEC pays close attention to their to quality control
