I'm interested. However, does this fit pre-LCI cars, and also, whats this I hear about having to trim the stock? I'm confused by that.

the shifter will fit any E60.. the baseplate won't.

for a perfect hight the shifter stalk has to be trimmed down unless you want the shifter to sit a little higher. it's not required but suggested.

Im on if it has the newer shift baseplate, i cant stand the one i have right now. Would love the to have the new LCI one. What are the chances of making it work with a pre-lci?

oh it'll fit the OEM sport button which is what i will have in there.. i won't leave it empty so it'll come with the button
Cool! This is exactly what I would want. Any feedback regarding integration with a 2007 525i?

Let's come up with price and availability so we can get the ball rolling on the group buy.

P.S. Great work on the original shifter without the logo but now that I've seen your new creation, I'm stuck on the DCT version.

Regarding the stalk. Do you trim the stalk by taking it off first or is it stuck and you have to trim it installed on the car. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you want to go back to OEM, can the stalk be replaced fairly easily?

Okay, what if I want to go back to the stock stalk, is that easy to do? Hope that clarifies it further.
