is it possible to make the shifter short like the M5
and not high up like the 5series???

If I have already retrofitted a paddle shifter on the steering wheel which has a cable harness connecting to the steptronic shifter, then can I still do this mod? I'm just concerned about how these harnesses can be connected. Thanks.

ok so the harness for 119.00 is the Plug N Play kit. and the 199.99 is for the shifter Attachment 106331

This harness can be installed independently from the paddle shift retrofit kit. I have both paddleshift kit and shifter harness installed in my vehicle.

but the you can adjust the brightness of the shifter. 
The shifter is a little shorter than the original but not a lot so i'd say it's about the same.

This kit can be installed on any vehicle with auto transmission as long as it has the regular automatic shiftknob. I believe LCI cars have a different shifter so it's not possible for those. I can't give away all the secrets of how the thing works but the you can adjust the brightness of the shifter.
