Which begs a question: are those Hankooks worth the whooping extra $9 bucks for the four? ![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)

Seriously, John, Hankooks are great trires, right? I've never owned them, but I know a lot of trackies run them and love them - or am I confusing something here?

According to Car and Driver it is up there with Michelin PS2. I never actually owned them, but I know several people who have them and said they stick to the road very well.
BTW thanks for making a thread just for me

QUESTION: how come the 265s are offered with a 30 profile and all the 275s you've listed are with a 35 profile?

From this thread, the best sizes to use would be 245/35-19 front and 275/30-19 in the rear, given that a 285 tire would probably be a bit too wide for a 9.5 inch rim in the back. But I have a feeling that on an Xi (especially, with the stock ride height), it is possible to go 245/40-19 front and 275/35-19 in the back - can someone tell me whether I'm missing something here?
stock overall tire diameter is 25.7inches, with a 245/40-19 it goes up an inch to 26.7, 275/35-19's diameter is 26.6, so front to rear - almost perfect match, but the overall diameter is an inch more than stock, which means that my speedo is gonna be off by 2mph (when I'm going 62mph, it will be showing 60). Someone's told me before that the BMW speedo is (allegedly) off by 2mph already (the other way), so basically one would cancel the other out. But is the BMW speedo really off by 2mph stock?
